True Grit (1969) Blu-Ray disc was released on December 14, 2010 from Paramount Home Entertainment.

Called "a masterpiece" and "one of the most delightful, joyous, scary movies of all time" (Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times), the towering and eminently entertaining Western TRUE GRIT (1969)arrives for the first time ever in sparkling high definition when it debuts on Blu-ray December 14, 2010 from Paramount Home Entertainment. The film stars legendary actor John Wayne as the unforgettable U.S. Marshal Reuben J. "Rooster" Cogburn, a role that won Wayne the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, his only Oscar after 40 years on the big screen. Directed by Henry Hathaway (How The West Was Won), TRUE GRIT pays homage not only to the great Westerns that came before it, but also to Wayne's larger-than-life film presence. The story of a drunken, hard-nosed U.S. Marshal (Wayne) and a Texas Ranger (Glen Campbell) who help a stubborn young woman (Kim Darby) track down her father's killer, TRUE GRIT is as much a character study as an action-adventure and Roger Ebert calls it "the Western you should see if you only see one Western every three years."

The TRUE GRIT Blu-ray features commentary by Western film historian Jeb Rosebrook, executive editor of True West magazine Bob Boze Bell and historian of the American West J. Stuart Rosebrook, featurettes on the writing, locations and working with the Duke, the theatrical trailer and more.
